How to Add Mac Camera Filters in Google Meet when using Safari
Sep 9, 2023

Google Meet has approximately 28% market share of video conferencing platforms according to EmailToolTester. Safari, the second most used browser, unfortunately doesn't support visual effects on Google Meet.
Your Options
- Use Chrome or supported browsers — However, as noted by AppleInsider, using Chrome on a Mac can defeat Apple's privacy features.
- Use Xamera as a virtual camera with Safari — This gives you consistent camera filters regardless of which browser or meeting app you use.
Xamera also comes with Advanced Privacy features which obscure the camera feed when you are not the only person in the camera view.
